Crossed roller bearings are quoted from the drawing, not from a stock list.
Most crossed roller bearings in a machine are fixed by the joint that already exists: bore, outside diameter, width and the mounting face the customer cannot change. That is the case we work on. The drawing, or the measured joint, is reviewed first and the roller arrangement, preload and mounting face flatness are agreed before production.
Because the same raceway takes load in three directions, a small change in mounting face flatness shows up as runout at the tool or the wrist. The mounting condition is therefore part of the review, not an afterthought.
