Thin section bearings are selected by section, then produced to your envelope.
The section decides how much load the ring can carry; the contact angle decides in which direction. Both come from the machine envelope, so the drawing is read from the outside in: available space, then load direction, then the accuracy the axis has to hold.
The wall is thin, so the fit in the housing and the flatness of the mounting face influence running accuracy more than in a heavy section bearing. Those two values are checked with the drawing instead of being assumed from a catalogue page.
What to send
- Bore, outside diameter and section, or the available envelope
- Load direction: radial, axial or combined
- Runout or rigidity the axis must hold
- Shaft and housing material, fit and face flatness
- Sealing, lubrication and continuous temperature
Drawings and samples are handled confidentially. Email info@splbearings.com or WhatsApp +86 176 5998 0260.
